Forty years ago and almost twice as long before that, the amusement park Playland at the Beach existed here. I miss it.

Boardwalk Flowers from a Long Gone ‘Playland at the Beach’

While Tom was at the VA, I hiked down to Golden Gate Park. Saw the archers near 47th then the Dutch windmill at the west end of the park. As I started the long uphill back to the VA, I spotted these flowers growing next to the dilapidated boardwalk wall.
