Hal Work has been teaching digital darkroom techniques since 2004 at the Eureka Photoshop Users Group. He’s an award-winning photographer who’s chosen to make Humboldt County his home and working environment.

After having worked for 30 years in Silicon Valley, Hal began his own photography and fine art printing business, Lucid Works, in 2003. He has also done website development for artists and photographers.

Hal’s photographs have been on display at the Morris Graves Museum, Redwood Art Association Gallery, various Arts Alive! and Arts Arcata venues, and local businesses. His photographs are on display in Europe, Latin America, and the United States. Even an international rock star bought one!

Hal was a resident artist at Sewell Gallery Fine Art for three years and Old Town Art Gallery for eight years in Eureka.

  1. Hi Hal, I am hoping you might be willing to consult with me regarding recommendations on replacing my aged printer/scanner/computer set-up. Since the existing pieces are too old to connect with anything new, I need to replace them all. I would be happy to pay for your time.
