This is a composite comprised of an image of the mobbing which took place at the Blue Lake Hatchery and the Pacific coastline near Dry Lagoon. Some symmetry of logs was added for whimsy. Both the eagle and the crow survived the encounter.
Lots of dodging/burning to get contours looking pretty good. This is from October 2015 in Prairie Creek. I can’t remember when I’ve seen a redwood as messed up as this one. Enjoy the redwood, burl, burn, and lichen.
My last blooming rhododendron from May. I entered a 16×24″ of this in the upcoming Humboldt Photography Exhibition. It’s from my front yard. I’m always amazed at the flowers I get as I don’t water at all. Go figure?!
