While getting things ready for my 70th birthday, I futzed around with this. Holy crap, can I really be this old. Honestly, during the Cold War I never thought I’d make it out of my 30’s. Birthday is in a few days.
Clearly there must be something hallucinogenic in the waters of Redwood Creek. It seems to be getting worse. Time to get back to more normal stuff.
BTW, this is an alder most likely broken by a falling tree in a storm.
Locally, trees with hanging moss are sometimes called Spirit Trees.
