Seashore Eye
Turbulent Pacific
With a break in the storm, I had to get out of the house. Called my friend Steve and we headed up the coast ending up at Dry Lagoon. There was supposed to be a 9+ foot high tide. What’s fun about these clouds is that all I have to do is walk into the street in front of my house and look around. As long as it isn’t that boring blue stuff, I usually find something interesting.

This is not a fireball about to crash into the ocean. It’s the setting sun with a strange gap in the clouds.
Rain On the Pacific
I’m doing a series on clouds with a technique under development. Not much of the sea here as I was shooting on a cliff and didn’t want to include waves. I’m using a mirrorless camera with a manual lens so that I don’t have to monkey around with autofocus which just gets in the way for these images.

I really didn’t want to go to the Eiffel Tower on March 14. But, I had read that there was to be a “race” of vintage cars starting there. There was no sign of them. I saw some convertible Jags with union jacks covering them which were a tour company. The drivers had no idea what I was talking about. So, here I was.
